{"id":1373,"date":"2017-09-13T11:46:17","date_gmt":"2017-09-13T11:46:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.perkele.it\/uncategorized\/500-ft-of-pipe-the-electrifying-church-of-the-new-light\/"},"modified":"2024-11-20T14:44:36","modified_gmt":"2024-11-20T13:44:36","slug":"500-ft-of-pipe-the-electrifying-church-of-the-new-light","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.perkele.it\/?p=1373","title":{"rendered":"500 Ft. of Pipe &#8211; The Electrifying Church of the New Light"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dopo il successo di critica e pubblico suscitato nel circuito stoner da <em>Dope Deal<\/em>, ecco che la Beard of Stars ritorna in pista con i <strong>500 Ft. of Pipe<\/strong> ristampando l&#8217;album d&#8217;esordio della band di Detroit, targato 1999 (allora era uscito sulla label personale del gruppo, la High Clopse Music, in sole 300 copie).<\/p>\n<p>Cambia l&#8217;artwork (opera come sempre della Malleus) ma non la strada percorsa: siamo infatti al cospetto di un travolgente heavy psych rock spaziale che pesca dalle radici del trio (MC5 e The Stooges) e al tempo stesso rielabora questo sound contaminandolo con aperture lisergiche vicine ai Monster Magnet e maree di fuzz in stile Nebula.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;uso debordante delle tastiere da parte di Ross Westerbur costruisce i soliti tralicci acidi cavalcati dalle chitarre ipnotiche di Kevin Edwards e dal drumming selvaggio di Mick Stone.
