Ne \u00e8 passata tanta di acqua sotto i ponti dagli esordi di Dirty Sunday<\/a><\/em>. Oggi lo squarcio elettrico che taglia l\u2019intro arcaico e primitivo di questo nuovo Soundtrack of a Silent Land<\/em><\/strong> dei Rainbow Bridge<\/strong> \u00e8 una chitarra talmente hendrixiana che sembra piombata dritta da Third Stone from the Sun<\/em>, The Jimi Hendrix Experience<\/em>, 1967.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bisogna dirlo francamente: non c\u2019\u00e8 nessun chitarrista italiano in giro che abbia interiorizzato, assimilato e partorito un songwriting figlio del celebre artista di Seattle pi\u00f9 di Giuseppe \u201cJimiray\u201d Piazzolla<\/strong>. Il suo \u00e8 uno stile che \u00e8 riconoscimento, amore e devozione, tutto in uno. Non semplice imitazione, ma prosecuzione, di un cammino tracciato anni fa, che ora evolve e si colora nuovamente, come un arcobaleno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019album (strumentale: pubblica Argonauta Records<\/a>) si svolge tranquillo e rilassato, come in una jam tra musicisti affini, per espressione e emotivit\u00e0: non tutto \u00e8 Seventies rock<\/strong>, anche se questo \u00e8 il termine di paragone pi\u00f9 prossimo. Hugh the Cactus<\/em> paga dazio all\u2019alternative anni ’90<\/strong> (\u201cChe fine ha fatto il mio rock’n’roll?\u201d si chiedevano i Black Rebel Motorcycle Club all\u2019inizio del nuovo millennio \u2013 e ce lo domandiamo anche noi ancora oggi) ed \u00e8 la song pi\u00f9 manchevole di una lyrics, tanto \u00e8 organizzata, armonicamente e strutturalmente, come una canzone. Ma \u00e8 solo un episodio. Il resto si tiene in piedi bene cos\u00ec com\u2019\u00e8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viene tirato per la giacchetta anche Brant Bjork<\/strong> in pi\u00f9 di un\u2019occasione (Lama Returns<\/em> e A Silent Land<\/em>), altre volte si respira l\u2019aria delle Desert Sessions<\/strong> iniziali, dove davvero si dava spazio all\u2019intuizione pi\u00f9 anarchica del momento. Che lineup sarebbe se insieme a loro tre ci fossero Brant Bjork alla voce e Dave Catching alla seconda chitarra? Un sogno!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ma per il momento Sountrack of a Silent Land<\/em> non ci fa rimpiangere niente<\/strong>: \u00e8 qui per dimostrare che i Raimbow Bridge, con classe ed eleganza, silenziosamente, stanno rinvigorendo il solco tracciato dal guitar rock da sessant’anni a questa parte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
